On this page you will find lots of useful information about the Yetholm Border Shepherds’ Show.

  • Located in the scottish Borders, the Showground is situated on the outskirts of Town Yetholm, in The Haugh.

  • We encourage everyone, both young and old, to come and celebrate the best farming and rural life has to offer.

  • Tickets are priced at £6 per entry for anyone aged 16 and over. Under 16's are able to enter the Yetholm Show free of charge.

  • The Showground is open at 8.00am for the start of the Collie Trial. Main Ring entertainment starts at 12.45pm with the Brae House & Hill Race. Catering trailers, trade stands & the craft tent are usually up & running by mid morning. Judging starts at 10.30am.

  • Yes, you can enter the car park from from the main road via a gate near the entrance to Yetholm School. We kindly ask that you follow the directional signage and adhere to the one way system which is in operation.

    Please note that parking is in a field and therefore the surface is uneven and can be muddy.

    If you require disabled parking, please speak to one of our Stewards who will be happy to help.

    Craft Tent stall-holders may park their vehicles in the area behind the Craft Tent.

  • Absolutely! We love welcoming your furry friends to the Show. All breeds are welcome, however please note that livestock will be present and therefore we kindly ask that all dogs are kept on leads. Please also ensure that you tidy up after your dog!

  • Yes. The Border Search and Rescue team generously give their time to support the Yetholm Border Shepherds’ Show. If you or someone needs assistance you’ll find the team situated near the Secretary’s Tent, close to the Main Ring.

  • Yes! We have toilets and disabled facilities situated at the Showground.

  • For the majority of classes at the Yetholm Border Shepherds' Show, it is essential to register in advance before the deadline on Friday 20th September 2024. This ensures smooth organisation and participation in the various events.

    Please note that there is a small entry fee of £5 per dog for the Working Collie Trial. All other classes are free to enter.

  • All exhibits are to be staged by 10.00am as judging starts at 10.30am.

  • All prize money will be paid out on the day of the Show. An announcement will be made when monies are ready to be collected from the Secretary’s Tent and it must be collected by 4.30pm.

  • Brilliant news! Whether you can spare a few hours or want to help all day, we welcome volunteers at the Yethom Border Shepherds' Show. In addition we also need help setting up the day before, and clearing up the day after the show. Please contact us to find out about volunteering opportunities.
